Ringbridge

Cookies and similar technologies

The short version: we use a few essential cookies, and Microsoft Clarity analytics only if you accept it. We do not use advertising cookies, and you can change your choice at any time.

Last updated 24 September 2026

You can browse the website, try our live demo calls and contact us whether or not you accept analytics cookies.

This notice explains what cookies and similar technologies are, what the Ringbridge website uses, how to accept or reject optional analytics, and what we will do if that changes.

1. Who we are

Ringbridge is a trading style of Elevyn Technology Group Limited, a company registered in England and Wales.

Registered office:

167–169 Great Portland Street
London
W1W 5PF
United Kingdom

Email: hello@ringbridge.co.uk

ICO registration: ZC078522

For more information about how we handle personal information, please see our Privacy Notice.

2. What is a cookie?

A cookie is a small piece of information stored on a computer, phone, tablet or other device when someone visits a website.

Cookies can be used for purposes such as:

  • keeping someone signed in;
  • remembering preferences;
  • maintaining a secure session;
  • measuring how a website is used;
  • personalising content;
  • advertising;
  • tracking activity across websites.

Some cookies disappear when the browser is closed. Others remain on the device for a defined period.

3. Similar technologies

Privacy rules are not limited to traditional cookies.

Websites can also store or access information using technologies such as:

  • local storage;
  • session storage;
  • tracking pixels;
  • software development kits;
  • browser or device identifiers;
  • fingerprinting techniques;
  • similar technologies that store information on, or retrieve information from, a user's device.

In this notice, we use cookies and similar technologies to refer to these technologies collectively where appropriate.

4. What the Ringbridge website uses

The public Ringbridge website uses a small number of strictly necessary technologies, and one optional analytics service that is only switched on if you accept it.

Strictly necessary (always on)

  • rb_cookie_choice (local storage, ringbridge.co.uk): remembers whether you accepted or rejected analytics, so we do not ask on every page. Kept for 12 months, after which we ask again.
  • rb_demo (cookie, ringbridge.co.uk): a random identifier used only to limit each browser to three live demo calls per business per day, so the demonstrations cannot be abused. It is only sent when you start a demo call, contains nothing about you and lasts 30 days.
  • Bot protection (Vercel BotID): when you start a live demo call, a security check confirms the request comes from a real browser rather than an automated script.

Analytics (only if you accept)

If you select Accept analytics, we load Microsoft Clarity, which helps us understand how people use the website through heatmaps and recordings of page activity such as clicks, scrolling and mouse movement. Clarity is not loaded at all until you accept.

Clarity may set the following cookies:

  • _clck and _clsk (first-party): a pseudonymous Clarity user ID, and a link between the pages you view in one visit.
  • CLID, ANONCHK, MR, MUID and SM (third-party, Microsoft): identify a browser across Microsoft services and keep that identifier in step. Microsoft states that MUID is also used for advertising and site analytics across Microsoft sites.

We tell Clarity that advertising storage is not permitted. We hide the text of live demo call transcripts and anything typed into the contact form from Clarity recordings.

Microsoft's handling of this information is described in the Microsoft Privacy Statement, and its current list of Clarity cookies is published in the Clarity documentation.

The website does not use cookies or similar technologies for behavioural advertising, retargeting, affiliate tracking or selling visitor information.

5. Website usage measurement

We measure a limited number of website events so that we can understand whether important parts of the site are useful.

For example, we may count aggregate events such as:

  • a Ringbridge example call being played;
  • a pricing page being viewed;
  • a contact button being selected;
  • a particular part of the website being used.

Our aim is to understand things such as:

"Are people listening to the call demonstrations?"

rather than:

"What did this specific person do across multiple visits?"

We do not include:

  • contact-form contents;
  • customer-call contents;
  • caller transcripts;
  • names;
  • email addresses;
  • telephone numbers

in general website analytics events.

Where website measurement can be carried out without placing or reading information on a visitor's device, the cookie rules relating to device storage and access do not apply to that measurement.

Any processing of personal information involved in operating or measuring the website is separately covered by our Privacy Notice.

6. Statistical website measurement

UK privacy rules allow certain limited storage or access technologies to be used for the sole purpose of producing statistical information about how a website or online service is used, provided the legal conditions for that exception are met.

Where Ringbridge relies on this type of exception in future, we will ensure that:

  • its sole purpose is statistical measurement intended to improve Ringbridge or the website;
  • the results are aggregate rather than used to identify individual visitors;
  • it is not used for advertising or visitor profiling;
  • individual-level information is not kept longer than necessary;
  • any service provider involved acts only on our behalf for that purpose;
  • visitors receive clear information; and
  • visitors are given a simple, free way to object where required.

If a technology does not meet the requirements of an applicable exception, we will obtain any consent required before using it.

7. Strictly necessary technologies

Some websites require cookies or similar technologies in order to provide functionality a visitor has specifically requested.

Examples can include technologies used for:

  • website security;
  • load balancing;
  • authentication;
  • maintaining an active session;
  • remembering information needed to complete a requested process.

These are generally referred to as strictly necessary technologies.

The public Ringbridge marketing website requires very little device storage to operate. The strictly necessary technologies it uses are listed in section 4.

We use strictly necessary technologies without asking for consent where the law permits this, but we still explain what they do in this notice.

8. Contact forms

Sending the Ringbridge contact form does not itself require us to place advertising or analytics cookies on your device.

Information you enter into a contact form is handled as personal information in accordance with our Privacy Notice.

It is not treated as website analytics data.

9. Live demo calls and example calls

The demo page lets you talk to Ringbridge AI agents for made-up businesses in your browser. A live demo call uses your microphone once you start it, and the conversation is processed and recorded by our voice provider, ElevenLabs, which keeps it for up to 90 days.

Starting a live demo call uses the rb_demo cookie and bot protection described in section 4. These are strictly necessary to provide the demonstration you asked for and to prevent abuse.

Please use made-up details on a demo call. Demo call transcripts are not included in website analytics events and are hidden from Clarity recordings.

The website also includes scripted example calls. Playing an example call does not involve the processing of real customer-call data unless a demonstration is explicitly identified as such.

10. External websites

The Ringbridge website may contain links to third-party services, for example calendar, integration or software providers.

A link on our website does not cause Ringbridge to control the cookies used by the destination website.

If you follow an external link, that organisation may set its own cookies or use other technologies according to its own privacy and cookie policies.

Ringbridge is not responsible for the cookie practices of third-party websites.

11. Third-party integrations

The Ringbridge service can connect with third-party business systems.

Those integrations are separate from the public Ringbridge website and may be subject to the third party's own:

  • authentication;
  • cookies;
  • local storage;
  • privacy notices; and
  • account settings.

This Cookies Notice relates primarily to the ringbridge.co.uk public website.

The processing involved in operating the Ringbridge service itself is explained in our Privacy Notice and Terms of Service.

12. Advertising

Ringbridge does not currently use advertising cookies or similar technologies on this website to:

  • show personalised adverts;
  • retarget visitors on other websites;
  • track advertising activity across different services;
  • build behavioural advertising profiles.

Where you accept analytics, we tell Microsoft Clarity that advertising storage is not permitted. Some Microsoft cookies Clarity may set are also used by Microsoft for advertising; they are described in section 4.

If this changes, we will update this notice and ask for consent before non-exempt advertising technologies are activated.

13. Browser controls

Most browsers allow you to:

  • view stored cookies;
  • delete cookies;
  • block cookies;
  • block third-party cookies;
  • clear site data when the browser closes;
  • use private or incognito browsing.

Blocking cookies should not materially affect ordinary browsing. If you block cookies, live demo calls still work, but the daily demo limit is applied by network address instead.

Browser controls vary between browsers and devices, so please refer to your browser's settings or help documentation for instructions.

14. Cookie consent

When you first visit, we ask whether you accept analytics. Accept analytics and Reject analytics are equally easy to choose, and the website works the same either way.

Microsoft Clarity is not loaded until you accept. Consent is not inferred simply because someone continued browsing the website.

You can change your mind at any time using Cookie settings at the foot of every page. If you withdraw consent, we tell Clarity to delete its cookies and stop recording.

We ask again after 12 months, or sooner if the technologies we use change.

15. If our use of cookies changes

Ringbridge will continue to develop.

We may introduce new website functionality, analytics or other services in future.

Before introducing a technology that changes the position described in this notice, we will review:

  • what information it stores or accesses;
  • why it is required;
  • whether it identifies or tracks individual visitors;
  • whether a UK PECR exception applies;
  • whether UK GDPR applies to associated personal-data processing;
  • whether consent is required;
  • whether users need a mechanism to object;
  • how long information should be retained.

Where necessary, we will update this notice and introduce appropriate controls before the technology is activated.

16. Review of technologies used

We periodically review the public website to check which cookies and similar technologies are actually in use.

This includes reviewing:

  • website code;
  • third-party scripts;
  • analytics;
  • embedded content;
  • hosting and security functionality;
  • marketing tools.

This notice is intended to describe the technologies actually in use rather than provide a generic list of cookies that Ringbridge may never set.
