  1. 0:00Ringbridge

Good morning, thanks for calling. I’m the workshop’s automated assistant — the team are on the tools, but I can take the details and get you booked in. What’s happened?

  2. 0:11Caller

Yeah, my car won’t start. It was fine yesterday, but this morning it just clicks when I turn the key.

  3. 0:19Ringbridge

Sorry to hear that. When you turn the key, do the dashboard lights come on as normal, or are they dim?

  4. 0:27Caller

They come on, but they sort of flicker when I try it.

  5. 0:33Ringbridge

That’s useful, thank you. Can I take the registration?

  6. 0:38Caller

    AB12 CDE.

  7. 0:43Ringbridge

Thanks. And where is the car at the moment?

  8. 0:47Caller

On my drive, in Stourbridge. DY8.

  9. 0:53Ringbridge

We cover DY8. For a non-start we’d send a technician out for a diagnostic call-out. That’s £45, and it comes off the bill if you go ahead with the repair. The earliest I have is today between two and four, or tomorrow from eight. Which suits?

  10. 1:18Caller

    Today, if you can.

  11. 1:22Ringbridge

Today between two and four it is. Can I take your name and the best number to reach you on?

  12. 1:30Caller

    Dan Hughes. 07700 900123.

  13. 1:39Ringbridge

Thanks, Dan. You’re booked in. I’m sending a text to confirm now, and the technician will ring when he’s on his way. Is there anything else I can help with?

  14. 1:52Caller

    No, that’s great. Cheers.

While you listen

Four things worth noticing.

These are scripted examples of calls Ringbridge is built to handle. Your own would use your services, prices, coverage and rules. See how that is set up.

  1. It says what it is.

Each call opens by explaining that the team are busy and this is their assistant. Nobody is misled, and nobody hangs up.

  2. It asks what your engineer would ask.

Fault codes, registrations, postcodes, whether the caller is safe. The questions come from the business, not from a generic script.

  3. It knows where the line is.

In the electrical call it declines to price a three-property job and hands it to the owner instead. That restraint is configured, not accidental.

  4. Something happens at the end.

Every call finishes with a booking, an alert or a briefed callback. The record on the right is what your team would see.
